Follow the Path

Not only does David repeatedly ask WHO can ascend the mountain of God but he also repeatedly tells us HOW one can summit God’s mountain.

In Psalm 43, David writes:

Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell!

David tells us the only way we can climb God’s mountain is if we allow Him to lead us there. He requests God send Him:

🗻 God’s Light
🗻 God’s faithful care

Why those two things? 

Because God’s light will lead the way and show Him the path. If you follow God’s Light, you can’t get lost. If you have God’s light, then no darkness can overtake you.

Because God’s faithful care will provide you aid when the climb gets hard. If you have God’s steady and reliable care, you never have to worry about the hard parts of the climb because God will be there to help. If you have God’s faithful care, when you do stumble and fall God will be there to help you up, treat your wounds, and get you going again.

God’s light and God’s care are what we need to climb God’s mountain. They will lead you to the top where God dwells.

But notice – you will need GOD’S light and GOD’S care. You won’t make it to the top of GOD’S mountain without HIS light and care. No other source will work. No other god will lead you to the top. You must follow God’s way and turn to God for help. It is the only way to reach the mountaintop of God. #mountaineeringforgod #themountainsofgod
