Endure Temptations

Runners endure all challenges, struggles, and pain of running a marathon so they can cross the finish line. You endure a lot mentally and physically but in the end there’s nothing quite like crossing the finishing line after 26.2 miles – all the struggles and challenges are finally worth it.

James tells us we can expect the same time of finish line if we endure to the end of our spiritual run. If we endure through temptations and struggles and keep running – we will receive our crown of life. Why do we know this is waiting for us? Because God has promised it to those who love Him.

Specifically James tells us to endure temptations. We all face temptations every day. We are daily face an endless barrage of temptations. Sometimes we even trip because of them. Sometimes we even fall flat on our face because of them. But James is telling us to wipe the dust off your knees and push yourself back up. None of us are perfect and sometimes we will falter and yield to temptation but it’s our reaction and actions after that will decide our run. Do we quit or keep running?

Don’t give in to the Devil. Don’t give in to your mind when it tells you to quit. Don’t let temptations keep you down. Don’t let your mistakes keep you from getting back up. Push forward and focus instead on your reward which God is waiting to give you.

Endure the hard times.
Endure the struggles.
Endure the temptations.

God is waiting to give you your prize – the crown of life. He wants you to finish. He wants to reward you. So, don’t quit. Keep running. 👑👟👑👟👑 #runningtherace
