Your Mercy

David frequently asks God to remember aspects of His personality. Generally, those requests come from David during hard circumstances. David’s requests do not reflect a lack of confidence in God or suggest any doubt that God’s nature has changed. Instead, they represent David’s plea for God to demonstrate that specific trait.

In Psalm 25, David is clearly facing a challenging time and urgently seeks God’s help. In the middle of the Psalm, David makes the following statement: Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.

David pleads with God to remember His mercy and love. He links God’s mercy and love to ancient times, portraying them as enduring since the very beginning. David seeks comfort and security in God’s enduring mercy and love. They are the first traits David asks God to recall in the Psalm. In his time of trouble, David appealed to God to remember His mercy and love as He guided him through the situation.

When you face difficult times, like David, you can call on God to remember His mercy and love. He will remain faithful and guide you through. #Remember
