Soldiers in Christ’s army are overcomers.
Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we are guaranteed to overcome this world.
Overcome means to get the better of – to surmount.
This world is a hard place. It is full of violence, sadness, cruelty, disappointments, loneliness, evil, and sin. It can be overwhelming at times.
But the Apostle John reminds us that none of those things matter for those who believe in Jesus. Why? Because with Jesus we are overcomers of all the hard and evil things this world throws at us.
🪖We surmount any obstacle.
🪖We summit any mountain.
🪖We prevail against every foe.
🪖We bridle ourselves.
🪖We vanquish temptations.
🪖We defeat the Devil.
🪖We conquer death.
Don’t be overcome by this world – instead become an overcomer. Join the Lord’s army and vanquish this
