As a soldier, we must always be on guard and watching for the enemy.

Peter tells us we must –

🪖 Prepare our minds. We have sure up our minds and be ready to face any situation that may come our way. Being a good soldier requires mental preparedness.

🪖 We must also be serious or sober-minded. We must take the mission and our enemy seriously. We cannot underestimate the Devil’s desire or the tactics he uses to destroy us. We cannot be flippant about our God-given mission to bring others to Him. It is our job to help others find the Lord.

🪖 We must set our hope on Christ. We cannot set our focus or put our trust in anything but Jesus. He is the only way to salvation.
