The Weapons of God

Unlike soldiers on this earth whose weapons and warfare are physical, soldiers in God’s kingdom fight with spiritual weapons because we are fighting in a spiritual war.

While our weapons are not physical and are not seen by the naked eye, they are more powerful than any earthly weapon because they are made with God’s power and nothing can defeat the power of God. Paul explained to the Corinthians just how powerful our weapons are:

“…mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (towers), destroying every argument against God, tearing down anything that exalts itself above God, and bringing every thought under control.”

🏰 Our weapons can tear down any stronghold or towers of the Devil. We should not be afraid of places where Satan is seemingly ensconced himself. Our weapons are made to tear down Satan’s towers. They cannot stand against the power of God.

🏰 Our weapons can destroy or obliterate every argument made against God. No lie. No false claim. No counter-argument. The Word of God exposes every untruth, every logical fallacy, and every heretical claim. We should not shrink away when some attempt to argue against God; instead, we can destroy every argument made against us if we properly wield the Sword of the Spirit.

🏰 Our weapons are made to tear down anything or anyone that exalts itself above God. No idol and no person is strong enough or tall enough to stand against God’s weapons.

🏰 Our weapons are so comprehensive and mighty that they can even bring every one of our thoughts under control. We can learn to control our minds using God’s weapons. We can pull down any tower Satan has built there. We can destroy any lie He has planted there. We can tear down any idol we’ve secretly set up in there.

There is no reason to fear Satan. Nothing He has and nothing He does can withstand the weapons of God.

But as soldiers, it is our responsibility to actually use them and use them correctly. God’s weapons are for spiritual war – not physical. God’s weapons are to be used to defend God – not us. God’s weapons target Satan (and his tactics) to rescue his victims – not destroying them.

So, let go of your fear. Nothing can stand against the weapons of God. #soldiersforChrist #TheLordIsMyBanner
