There are times when running long runs that every step takes everything from you. Exhaustion and pain become your uninvited running partners. The beating your feet take is enormous – it becomes more and more difficult with every step. Even with the best of shoes, fuel and equipment, your body feels every step of every mile and eventually it begin to rebel against your mind.
Running our spiritual race is just like this – It’s a long long run. Even with the best preparation and gear, life will eventually begin to take its toll on us. We will get to points in our lives where every step forward is painful and our minds are screaming at our soul to stop the madness and quit.
It is those moments we need to think back on what Isaiah tells us about God and the strength He provides. For those that remain true and trust in or “wait” on the Lord, He will give you more than you need to finish this long race.
To those that trust in Him, God will:
👟 Renew their strength.
👟 Give them speed and distance range of an eagle.
👟 Provide unlimited endurance.
👟 Bestow endless energy.
If we trust in God, He will give us everything and more to finish our race. We won’t be able to do it without Him. This life is long and hard. God knows that. He wants to help us finish our race. He wants to give us all the aid and energy and strength we need but we’ve got to turn to Him. We’ve got to look to Jehovah for our help.
No other god and no other philosophy can provide you what God can. Only He can give you the strength, speed, endurance, and energy to finish our spiritual race. So, don’t look other other places. Don’t seek help from other sources. None of those gods or paths can provide you want you truly need. Only Jehovah can give you wings like an eagle and help you to run and never grow weary. #runningtherace
