The Level Path

When you’re running, you always have to be aware of the ground. You’ve got to watch out for holes, uneven cracks in the pavement or concrete, roots, or anything else that could cause you to trip and fall. Every runner’s dream is the perfect path with nothing that could trip them up or cause them to fall. And it always just that – a dream. While you may occasionally run on the perfect path, if you aren’t always looking for trip hazards just in case you’ll trip and fall because there are always there.

Isaiah declares that the righteous have a level path to run. It’s not slanted and there are no cracks. So, first Isaiah tells us the righteous have an even or level path. To be righteous is to live a steady life of obedience and dedication to God. We the run it’s hard or we want to stop, we must continue to steadily run.

Second, Isaiah declares that God makes the righteous’ path level. God is the one who levels out our path. God has made it very clear and easy to understand how to run His race.

Now, does this mean we don’t need to be looking and making sure there aren’t other types of hazards in the road? No. We must constantly be watching out for dangers in the path. But, what this does mean is as long as we stay with God and continue in upright and righteous living, He will make sure our path is free of cracks and holes. It will be level.

👟 Does your life seem constantly bumpy?
👟 Does it feel like you are never at peace?
👟 Do you find yourself wondering if there is a different way?

Isaiah tells us the answer to all of these! Righteous living in God’s level path. And while your life won’t be free of hardships and other dangers in the road, you will always have a level even path. #runningtherace
