When running it is important to know the race route or even your training route. You don’t just get to run wherever you like during a race. When training, you need to know the route’s distance to ensure it’s the right distance for that run. Knowing the route is vital to success. But if you run a race and just ignore the route and run it how you think it should have been – well you’ll be disqualifed.
It is not different when running God’s marathon.
There may be a route that we think works just as well as God’s race map and decide to run that one instead. Solomon tells us when we decide to follow our own route that way leads to death.
Yet, so many times we struggle with this. We think we know better than God or that God won’t care if we veer off His map a little. Solomon is very frank here – there is a path that seems right to you but its way leads to death because it isn’t God’s path.
To run God’s race we must stay on God’s path otherwise we will be disqualified for entering Heaven. Our route leads to death, God’s route leads to life.👟👟#runningtherace
