Wash Yourselves

“Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.” (Isaiah 1:16)

God told the children of Israel through Isaiah to wash themselves and make themselves clean!

We must clean our garden. We learned yesterday that we can not make ourselves clean. Only God can cleanse us of our impurities. If what Ezekiel and Solomon say is true, then how do reconcile what Isaiah communicates from God to us?

The answer is fairly simple. Only God can cleanse us from our impurities and sins but He will only do so IF we want to be washed and cleaned. How do we indicate to God we want to be washed and are ready for His eternal cleansing? We have to stop doing evil deeds. We have to stop doing the wrong things. We have to clean out our lives of all of the sins and wrong actions we take. We have to turn to God. We have to obey Him and clean out our lives of its evil ways.

Once we wash our lives of all our wrong actions, thoughts, and deeds, God will wash our souls.

You cannot be clean if you continue to do wrong.

God will not cleanse your soul if you refuse to His cleansing water.

Therefore, clean out your life of wrong deeds, do no wrong, and turn to God so He will cleanse your soul.
