Cleaning 101

One of the first things every gardener must do in the spring is clean. So much cleaning. You clean out your shed. You clean your tools. You clean the lawn. You clean out the flower beds. You clean patios and porches. You clean out pots. The list goes on and on. So, one of the first gardening themes we will explore is cleaning.

To begin the theme of cleaning, let’s reflect on Solomon’s rhetorical question. “Who can say, “I have made my own heart pure and I have made myself clean from sin?”

To ask is to answer. No one. No one can make themselves clean or free from sin. No one can make themselves perfectly clean and pure.

The only one who can truly cleanse us is God. We cannot do it by ourselves. We need God’s cleansing power.

So, if we are to begin cleaning out our lives from sin and impurities we must first recognize and acknowledge that the cleaning will never truly work or be complete unless we turn to God for His help. We cannot clean out our lives by ourselves. We cannot make ourselves pure. We cannot cleanse ourselves of our sins. Only God can.

Begin the cleaning process in your life! Turn to God and let Him show you His methods. Let Him cleanse you of your sin. Because without Him, your life will never truly be cleansed. #lessonsfromthemastergardener
