We are nearing the end of our study over Godly love.
However, everything we’ve discussed (love characteristics and love actions) none of them matter if we don’t love the source of love – God.
We can say we are a godly person or a Christian all we want but if we don’t actually love God then none of what we say matters.
We must love God above everything and everyone else. We should see Him as the source of our strength and our rock in the storms of life. We should recognize He is the author and finisher of our salvation. God is the source of love itself.
Everything in our life must come after God.
Our love for God should motivate us to obey Him. It should galvanize us to love others. It should drive us to preach His word so others can experience the depth of His love. It should provoke us to action.
Loving God is the key to all of our actions and attitudes.
So, who does Godly love love? God. #LoveActs
