If we say we love God, then we will obey His commandments.
This is a resounding theme throughout thr Scriptures. From Moses to thr Apostle John, we read statements with this same message. How can we say we love God and not obey His laws and commands? The answer is clear – we cannot.
Our first love action is obedience. Our love for God should prompt our obedience. It should help us understand God’s ways are better than our ways. And, if we say we love God, we will obey ALL His commands. Not some. Not just the easy ones. Not just the public ones. Not just the modern culturally accepted ones. All.
Just as we are to love God with ALL our hearts, we wre to obey ALL of His commands.
And, the Apostle John tells us if we say we love God but don’t obey Him we are a liar. (1 John) So, if we say we love God, we WILL obey Him otherwise, we do not truly love Him.
So, what does Godly love do? It obeys. #LoveActs
