Sometimes we put limits on our love. We’ve been hurt in the past so we withhold love. We doubt people’s motives and intentions so we cap our love. Generally, when we put caps or limits on our love it is to protect ourselves.
But does God do that? Does God cap His love when He has been hurt or disappointed? Does He limit His love based on our intentions? No. God loves endlessly. His love is everlasting. His love has no end. His love has no qualifications – no prerequisites. His love shows no partiality. And, He gives and gives and gives love without much return and with continued hurt and disappointment.
Now, it’s true. We don’t have the capability to love precisely like God in this way. Our love is limited by our human nature. BUT, what lessons can we learn from God’s everlasting love?
❤️ Our love should be without end.
❤️ We should not put limits or qualifications on our love based on the actions of others.
❤️ We should willing to extend our love at all times to love people.
We should try every day to have an endless supply of love. And when our bucket runs out, we should turn to God and ask Him to help us refill it. Remember, God’s love is endless so He can help refill ours.
Our love won’t be endless like God’s but we can try our best to imitate it. Learn to love like God…endlessly. #LearnToLove #LoveLikeGodLoves
