Called to Love God.

If loving others is one of most fundamental and important callings, then loving God IS the foundation of all our other callings.

We are called to love God with all our heart – the emotional side of our being – with all our soul – the rational eternity seeking side of our being – with all our might – the physical side of our being.

❤️ Our love for God should move us emotionally.
❤️ Our love for God should motivate us to do better because we want to spend eternity with Him.
❤️ Our love for God should put us to work for Him by helping others.

God created humanity in His image which means He gave us a soul that would live forever live like Him and He gave us free will so we could make decisions like Him.

God doesn’t MAKE you love Him – He asks you to CHOOSE to love Him. After all true love can’t be forced (as Aladdin taught us for those Milennial readers out there), it has to be freely given. And the consequence of our choice to love God is eternal.

You can choose to love yourself and purse the things of this world that bring you happiness. But ultimately, you will pay for the decision because you chose to love yourself more than God the creator of the universe and redeemer of your soul.

You can choose to love God with all your heart, soul, and strength. You can do the things which God gas commanded of you and put His will above your own. And ultimately, you will be rewarded for that choice because you gave back to God the one thing He really gave you – you. You decided to love God more than yourself and because of that God will welcome you to His home in heaven for all eternity.

The choice is your’s. You were called and created to love God but you make you answer the call. You don’t have to yield your life God in this life. But make no mistake, you will submit to God one way or another. You can do so willingly now and give your life back to God and be welcomed into Paradise – the home of the saved. Or, you will bow before His throne as stubborn selfish soul and be cast into eternal night with those who also refused to love God.
