We were created to shine God’s light into the dark world. Our lives should be focused on living a godly life so others can see God in action in our lives. Our life example must be one of positivity, goodness, patience, service, kindness, mercy, peace, forgiveness, and love.
If we don’t live a godly life yet claim to be Christ’ ambassador we do damage to the cause of Christ here on earth. It gives the wicked a chance to mock God and call his church and his followers hypocrites. It gives Satan the opportunity to shout – “See, I told you. It’s all a farce. None of them really believe what they say.” It hurts other christian’s ability to effectively shine because their light is being lumped in with yours.
So, since today is the Lord’s day reflect on how you shine your light for God last week. How can you improve to shine brighter? Do others see God through your life’s example? Or, does your life example give people room to slander and mock Christ? You can either be the light that shines through the darkness or part of the darkness but you cannot be both.
We were created to shine through the darkness so the world can see God. So, shine and always shine brightly because even one flame dispels the darkness. #CreatedForMore #APurposeDrivenLife
