We were created, called, chosen by God for a purpose greater than anything else this earth has to offer. God did not haphazardly make you. He did not make humanity on a whim. He carefully thought about us and our purpose before the foundations of the earth were even made.

Since God created intentionally and purposefully created us, our first purpose in this life is to praise God. He commanded and we were (and the whole world) created. Our life’s purpose should focus on praising God for all that He has done and will do and is doing for us.

Praise the Lord the Psalmist shouted! Everything in nature and all of humanity were created to praise God! But here is the quintessential difference between us and nature, God made us in His image and gave us free will to decide if we wanted to accept that purpose. Nature was not created that way. She sings the praises of God because it is instinctually for her. The mountains, the sun, the animals, the trees, the stars and everything under heaven sing God praises because it is what they were made to do so they do it!

Everything but humanity – we were made with the same purpose but we were given a soul and free will. So, God gave us the ability to accept and pursue our purpose – praising Him – or to reject it.

Do you feel like your life is empty? Or do you feel like there is no purpose in your day to day life? Then you need to really think about if you are actively trying to praise God and exclaim His glory every day. And if you answer no – then you’ve found the place to start giving your life purpose. Praise God! If you answered yes and still feel empty, then perhaps you should adjust your priorities in life. There is nothing more important in life than praise Jehovah and if that doesn’t give you true purpose and meaning then your priorities and world view probably need adjustment.

You were created to praise Jehovah God.
Your life’s purpose is to bring Him glory!

So, praise the name of Jehovah for He made you and He is the redeemer of your soul!
