Everything has a beginning and an end. Beginnings are the end of something else and endings are the beginning of something new. We all have beginnings and endings. They make us excited and nervous and sometimes sad and other times happy. But everything as a beginning and an end.
The ultimate beginning and end is Jesus. Jesus calls Himself the Alpha and Omega multiple times in Revelation. This means that Jesus is all things at all times. He is all beginnings. He is all ends. He never ends. He is the I AM – the everlasting one.
This fact about Jesus should give us comfort and hope. Jesus is with us at all beginnings. He is with us at all ends. Jesus was the one who created Beginnings and Ends because He IS beginnings and ends.
Some of much this life changes for us but Jesus tells us He will also remain the same. He is the constant one and the one that supersedes starts and finishes. Beginnings and ends answer to Jesus because He is the Alpha and Omega. The infinite one. So, when life seems to be so scattered or when you face a scary new beginning or a sad ending remember Jesus is there with you for all beginnings and all ends.
