Today is the Lord’s Day.
Why do we worship Jehovah? Because He gave us His only son.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).”
We love God because He offered up Jesus to die for all of mankind’s sins. No one else could have done for us what Jesus did. And no one but God would have been willing to give up what He did for His enemies.
Jesus lived the perfect life and died to pay the price for our sins.
Jehovah willing gave up Jesus so that we would have a chance to be reunited with Him in Heaven.
Only Jesus – God’s only son – could do what needed to be done to save us from our sins. And because Jesus came, lived, and died for us we have the chance to be adopted children of God. We can become brothers and sisters to Jesus and join God’s family.
Thanks to be God for His indescribable gift – His only begotten son Jesus.
