Today is the Lord’s day!

Why do we worship Jesus? Because He is the true vine (John 15). There is no other vine that belongs in God’s vineyard. Jesus is the only true vine – all others will be cut off and burned.

This is such an important part of serving and worshiping Jesus. He is the ONLY pathway to God. The ONLY vine in God’s vineyard. He is the ONLY road back to God. It eliminates confusion. God didn’t want us to get lost so He didn’t create multiple avenues of salvation. He chose ONE. His Son – Jesus. All other vines that claim to be connected to God are false vines. They will be pruned and burned in the threshing fire.

Since Jesus is the only true vine, if we want to be acceptable to God then we must become branches of Jesus’ vine. If we grow from other vines, God will cut off our branches and burn them in the fire. We must belong to Christ’ vine.

And it doesn’t stop there! If we start to grow from Christ vine and we come one of His branches, we can’t just be a worthless branch. If we don’t bear fruit and if we don’t benefit the vine (Jesus), God will cut off our branch and burn it in the fire.

So, how do we avoid being prune off of Jesus’ vine? Jesus tells us! We must abide in His words and the Father’s commandments. We must bear fruits of righteousness (Galatians 5). We must be healthy, active, productive branches of Jesus’ vine in God’s vineyard.

We must belong to and grow from the onetrue vine.
