We all love a good rescue story. The more extreme the better. We love to watch people make sacrifices to save others and to have those stories end with happy endings.
There is no greater rescue story than God’s plan to rescue us from sin and Satan. It is a relentless rescue. He planned it before the foundations of the earth. He knew Satan would try to destroy us – His most beloved creation. We were made God made in His OWN image and there was no way Satan would leave us alone. God knew that we would struggle and fail in our attempts to fight Satan off alone so before we even failed the first time in the garden, God started His rescue plan. He did not create us and put us on earth and then leave us to fight off Satan alone with no way to get back to Him.
“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our LORD, nor of me His prisoner, but shared with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus BEFORE TIME BEGAN…” I Timothy 1: 9
‘Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold, from aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. God always planned to sacrifice His ONLY Son to save us.

There’s no rescue so relentless as God’s rescue of our souls.
